I spend most of my time in the pool or being busy with school activities, but I love photography. I’ve made it a goal of mine to capture the moments in life that can be easily overlooked, to capture the moments that I probably won’t encounter again. Taking photographs of exotic places of natural beauty and human accomplishments excites me. I have primarily been invigorated by the sky and the sun, taking pictures of any sunrise or sunset in which my mind could get lost. One of my favorite weekend activities would be driving along the Texas Hill Country capturing sunsets. Most of my pictures come from the various places I’ve traveled to, leading to another favorite hobby. I have gratefully had the chance to travel to some fascinating places worldwide, including Dubai, London, New Delhi, Toronto, Cancún, Turks and Caicos, Hawaii, Miami, and many more. Exploring different parts of the world makes me feel more connected with the planet that I live on, in a way that allows me to fully appreciate other cultures and societies.
At home, I love watching movies and admiring the effort the film makers put into some masterpieces of a lifetime. One movie that I’m emotionally attached to is Interstellar. It’s an inspiring artwork that connects familiar emotions with fantastic adventures. The background score is also a reason this film has become my favorite. You can learn much from what the director envisions for a story from the music, understanding the highs and lows of a protagonist, or if the story simply has one constant tone or the transition in the atmosphere of the plot. Background scores have become a way for me to imagine my own life as a relatable ensemble for the characters we see in movies. If you are someone who also enjoyed Interstellar, I recommend more Nolan films like Oppenheimer, Inception, Memento, and Tenet. I also recommend many other striking science films like Apollo 13, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Martian, The Theory of Everything, Gravity, High Life, Ad Astra, Gattaca, etc.
